Junior to elite performance
Research across junior to senior, amateur to professional, and recreational to elite sport contexts.
Biomechanics · Physical Performance · Exercise
The BioPPEx Research Group investigates human movement, physical performance, exercise, and injury prevention across sport, occupational, military, tactical, and health settings.
About BioPPEx
The Biomechanics, Physical Performance, and Exercise Research Group is a multi-disciplinary group focused on improving performance and decreasing injuries. The research context includes sport, exercise, and occupational settings, with a common purpose of improving how people move, perform, and tolerate physical demands.
Research across junior to senior, amateur to professional, and recreational to elite sport contexts.
Applied exercise science research relevant to health, rehabilitation, performance, and physical capacity.
Research in physically demanding occupational settings where performance, safety, and injury risk matter.
Research capability
BioPPEx research commonly uses biomechanics, physical performance testing, wearable sensors, markerless motion capture, 3D motion analysis, body composition assessment, and applied field-based methods.
Academic team
The BioPPEx academic team brings together expertise in biomechanics, exercise science, physiotherapy, wearable technology, tactical performance, running injury, and applied human performance research.
